Queen Sofía (of Spain) Accessibility Award 2009
The Mayor of Arona, Mr José Alberto González Reverón was presented the Accessibility Award by Her Spanish Majesty the Queen Sofía on the 18th March 2010 in Toledo.
This award is the most prestigious distinction in Spain in this category and corresponds to universal accessibility for municipalities of 10,001 to 100,000 habitants. The areas evaluated are education, leisure, culture, sport, transport, tourism and new information technologies. Since 2003 the Town Council has carried out improvements in these areas.
The Mayor of Arona will make the official presentation of the award on Wednesday, 26th May 2010 at 20.00 hours in the Mare Nostrum Resort.
All are invited and entrance is free.
