The International Blue Flag Jury has held its annual meeting to decide which beaches should be awarded the Blue Flag.

The Blue Flag programme includes evaluation of standards in safety and services to the general public and environmental education. Continuously striving towards higher standards, the Blue Flag reviewed the bathing water quality criteria and has adopted these changes to this year's programme.

The beaches that have been awarded the Blue Flag are those of Troya I & Troya II in Adeje and El Camisón and Las Vistas in Arona.
