The tenth Carmen Mota musical presented at the Pirámide de Arona, Aire ('Air') follows this famous choreographer's previous and very successful shows Alma and AIRAM, continuing her theme of titles beginning with the letter A.
Divided into two halves, the show fuses various dance styles with Latin roots. Ranging from classical Spanish ballet through to pure Andalucian-style flamenco, Aire takes the audience on a journey to a world where passion and magic rule the heart.
A dance show for the 21st Century, Aire successfully creates a fusion of the traditional and the contemporary. Part One focuses on classical dance numbers based on famous works for flamenco piano and Spanish operetta by world-renowned artists. Together with the expert lighting and sets, the spectacular costumes and professionalism of the eleven superb dancers, it is a true journey for the senses.
The second half of this musical extravaganza explores different flamenco dance styles and unlocks the vibrant world of pure Andalucian flamenco, featuring a singer from Jerez and a guitarist. With her beautifully choreographed scenes, Carmen Mota will open your imagination to a fascinating universe of styles - a universe where the only language that exists is dominated by the body, movement and passion.
